Irene Ogbedei Ashai is a dedicated and accomplished professional, currently serving as the Deputy Director of Administration/HR at the Council of State since 2022. With a strong foundation in administrative and technical support roles, Irene has progressively advanced through various positions within the Council, starting as Assistant Director II B in 2011. Her expertise lies in policy formulation, program implementation, and performance reporting, ensuring operational efficiency and effective communication within the Council.

Irene holds a Master’s degree in Social Work focused on Women in Leadership and Social Development from the China Women University, alongside a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is also a Chartered Professional Administrator. Her commitment to professional development is evident through numerous continuing education programs that enhance her leadership, project management, and communication skills.

In addition to her professional experience, Irene actively participates in community service and leadership roles, currently serving as General Secretary for the Mofcom Scholars Alumni Association of Ghana (MoSAAG). Her interests include reading, writing, and solving puzzles, reflecting a well-rounded personality dedicated to personal and community growth.
