H.E. Tingawurua Alhaji Seidu Sampson Abudu is a distinguished administrator, accountant, and traditional leader who has dedicated his career to public service and governance in Ghana. His professional foundation in business education and accounting was established at Tamale Business Secondary School and Tamale Bagabaga Teacher Training College, leading to a prolific career as an accountant across various district education offices and secondary schools, including positions in Bole, Tamale, Bimbilla, and Tolon/Kumbungu. Since 2005, he has served as the Chairman of the Educational Accountants Association for the Northern Region.

In addition to his financial expertise, Alhaji Abudu has an extensive record of political leadership and local governance, having served as the District Chief Executive for the Bole District from 2009 to 2013. Following this, he was appointed as the Regional Director of National Health Insurance for the Eastern Region, a role he held from 2013 to 2017. A founding member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bole-Bamboi Constituency, he currently serves as the Chairman of the Council of Elders for the Savannah Region NDC. His leadership capabilities are further backed by specialized certifications in socio-economic analysis, fraud prevention, and leadership empowerment.

In a significant advancement of his statesmanship, Alhaji Abudu was elected in February 2025 to serve as the representative of the Savannah Region for the 9th Council of State. Beyond his administrative and political roles, he is a prominent traditional figure who was enskinned as the Tingawura in 2013.

He is currently the Savannah Region Council of State Representative on Ghan’s Council of State.

He is also a versatile multilingual communicator, fluent in numerous languages including Gonja, English, Wali, Dagbani, and Twi. His multi-faceted background as a public servant, traditional ruler, and political elder reflects a lifelong commitment to community development and national service.
