Since his enstoolment as the Omanhene of the Yeji Traditional Area on September 24, 1982, he has emerged as a stabilizing force in regional governance, a trusted mediator in judicial matters, and a pivotal figure in national development. His professional approach is characterized by a meticulous foundation in administration and finance, built during his time at the Bekwai College of Accountancy from 1971 to 1973. During this period, he specialized in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Office Management, and Secretarial Studies, acquiring the technical expertise that has guided his long-standing leadership in traditional and public frameworks.

National Leadership and Advisory Roles

In recognition of his vast experience and institutional wisdom, Pimampim Yaw Kagbrese V was elected in 2024 as a Member of the Council of State to represent the Bono East Region. In this prestigious capacity, he serves as a high-level advisor to the President of the Republic, contributing to critical decisions regarding the nation’s peace, security, and strategic direction. His influence is also deeply felt within the National House of Chiefs, where he has been an active member since 2008. His contributions to the House include:

Judicial Excellence: He served as a member of the Judicial Committee from 2008 to 2024 and the Judicial Research Committee from 2008 to 2016, where he played a key role in the fair resolution of traditional disputes and the preservation of customary law.

Infrastructure Development: Between 2016 and 2020, he was a member of the Renovation and Infrastructure Committee, overseeing the physical modernization of the National House of Chiefs’ assets.

He served as the inaugural President of the Bono East Regional House of Chiefs from 2020 to 2024 following the region’s creation, and previously led the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs. Since 2020, he has served as the National Chairman of the Chieftaincy Ministry of the Church of Pentecost. In this role, he facilitates vital dialogue and provides chaplaincy services for traditional rulers across the country, fostering a spirit of cooperation between the church and traditional authorities.In February 2025, Pimampim was elected to represent the Bono East Region on the Council of State for the next four (4) years.
