H.E. Mankpanwura Jakpa Achor-Ade Borenyi I, born Saaka A. Sadick, is the Paramount Chief of the Mankpan Traditional Area and a dedicated development practitioner committed to leading proactive and productive teams. He possesses a robust educational background, including a Diploma in Chieftaincy Studies in Leadership and Management from the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) and a Participation Certificate in Community Development and Social Innovation from the College for Community and Organizational Development (CCOD). His diverse expertise is further supported by a Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from Tamale Workers College and an Intermediate Certificate in Welding Craft Practice from Tamale Technical University.
Throughout his career, Mankpanwura has held various impactful positions, including serving as a Pupil Teacher with the Ghana Education Service, a Field Officer for Partners in Participatory Development (PAPADEV), and a Health Extension Officer with the Ghana Health Service and Youth Employment Agency. His leadership and commitment to traditional governance were underscored in 2024 when he was officially sworn in as a member of the National House of Chiefs representing the Savannah Region. He also holds key leadership roles such as Chairman of the Research and Traditional Affairs Committee for the Savannah Region House of Chiefs and serves on the Savannah Regional Health Committee.
Mankpanwura is an accomplished leader in his community, having been recognized as the District Best Rice Farmer in 2018 and the District Best Youth Farmer in 2016 for the Central Gonja District.
He is highly skilled in conflict management and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), planning, and community mobilization, with a career objective focused on implementing sustainable development projects that benefit both his community and Ghana as a whole. In addition to his traditional and professional duties, he is a public speaker and writer who is passionate about culture, traditions, and fostering youthful participation in community development.
