On December 23, 1957, Hon. Prof. Daniel A. Bagah was born.
From 1979 to 1981, he attended the University of Ghana, and from 1984 to 1985, he attended the Academy of Social Sciences in Bulgaria. From 1985 to 1986, he studied at the Moscow Institute of Social Studies. Between 1990 and 1996, I attended McMaster University and York University in Canada.He was the founding dean of the University of Development Studies, as well as the Faculty of Education, Law, and Business Studies. In addition, he was the dean in charge of the UDS Wa campus. From 2017 to 2021, he served as Chairman of the Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University Council.
He works as a medical sociologist, as well as a lecturer and traditional leader.In 1979, he taught at Bole 4A middle school, and from 1981 to 1983.
Hon. Prof Bagah worked as a teaching assistant in the sociology department at the University of Ghana. From 1984 to 1989, Hon. Prof Bagah worked as a teacher at Wa senior high school, and from 1991 to 1996. Hon. Prof Bagah worked as an assistant lecturer at McMaster University and York University in Canada. In 1996-1998, Hon. Prof Bagah was a Mellon post-doctoral fellow at the Navrongo Health Research Centre. From 1998 through 2018, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Development Studies (UDS) Tamale.
Hon. Prof Bagah is currently the Council of State member for Upper West Region
